BRITISH TROOPS WILL DEPART
Siamese Confidence (10.30 p.m.) BANGKOK, Sept. 26. Sein Pro Maj, Prime Minister of Siam, expressed the belief that the British troops would depart as soon as the Japanese were disposed of. “Britain has been our friend,” he said. “We are confident that the British have no designs on lis.” He estimated that 90,000 of the 100,000 Japanese in Siam are now disarmed.
