FAIR The following is the forecast for South Canterbury issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, for the period ending 5 p.m. to-day:— General Situation There are depressions north of the Dominion and in the South-west Tasman Sea. Pressure is rising to the east. Forecast Winds.—Moderate to fresh northeasterly to northerly winds. Weather.—Fair to cloudy; temperatures moderating. The maximum temperature was 51 degrees and the minimum 26. Six degrees of frost were recorded. The glass was falling last evening.
