ASHBURY LADIES’ CLUB At the annual meeting of the Ashbury Ladies’ Bowling Club a successful season was recorded, also the winning of the Moore Shield. Club competitions resulted: Foden Ciip (singles champion), Mrs Arbuckle Davie Cup, Mrs Richards. Pairs. Mesdames Stevenson and Lomas. Handicap Pairs. Mesdames Richards and Shaw. Rinks, Mrs Arbuckle (s). Shaw, Watkinson and Lewis. Messrs Karton and Haugh’s trophy, Mesdames Henshaw and Luck; Irvine trophy, Mesdames Stevenson and Cormack. The election of officers resulted: Patroness, Mrs Thomas; president. Mrs Stevenson; senior vice-president, Mrs Entwistle; junior vice-president, Mrs Richards; secretary, Mrs Lorimer; past president, Mrs Clark; executive, Mesdames Hamlyn, Home, Henshaw, Arbuckle, Shaw and Tregenza; selector, Mrs Arbuckle; Match Commltee, Mesdames Home and Henshaw; Centre Delegates, Mesdames Hamlyn and Entwistle. The men’s club was thanked for the use of the green, Mr Henshaw for auditing the books, and Mr Irvine the green-keeper.
