A.J.C. Spring Meeting (9.20 p.m.) SYDNEY, Sept. 26. Acceptances were declared to-day for the races to be run on the first two days of the A.J.C. spring meeting. A field of 18 in the Epsom Handicap is the largest in the last 20 years, while the acceptance of 22 for the Metropolitan is up to average. High Play has been withdrawn from the Epsom, but Immediate remains in both races and apparently is to attempt the double. He will be ridden In the Epsom by L. Hare. Turf writers expect Shannon, Immediate and Silect to be the most prominent in the Epsom. Acceptances are as follows: Derby.—Chaytor, Cavalero, The Tiger, Toulon, Guiding Light, Blue Legend.
