Army Casualties (F.0.P.R.) WELLINGTON, Aug. 24, The annual report of the General Officer Commanding the New Zealand Military Forces which MajorGeneral E. Puttick presented to the House of Representatives showed that Army casualties from the outbreak of the war to May 31 last totalled 33,013.
The number of deaths from all causes was 6566. There were 4033 killed in action in the Middle East, two in the United Kingdom and 95 in the Pacific, a total of 4130. Those who died of wounds in all theatres numbered 1833, of whom there were 1791 in the Middle East. Deaths due to accident totalled 321 and through sickness 282. There were 8188 prisoners of war, 342 missing and 17,917 wounded.
