Two Persons Killed
(N.Z.P.A.) AUCKLAND, Aug. 16. Two fatal accidents marred the peace celebrations in Auckland. One of the victims was a truck driver and the other a cyclist. In addition to motor accidents in the city and suburbs, there were a number of cases of assault, while others suffered lacerations when struck by bottles and glasses thrown among the crowds. , , As the result of being involved m a collision at Mangere a cyclist died later in hospital He was Richard Edmund Walsh aged 39. marked, of Mangere. When a truck and a tram collided on the Great North Road, the driver of the truck was killed instantly. He was Nolan Watson, aged 36 married, of Parnell an engineer. Both the truck and the tram were extensively damaged.
