Enemy Representatives Summoned Meeting At Manila By Telegraph—N.Z. Press Assn.'—Copyright (11.35 p.m.) MANILA, August 15. General MacArthur in his first communication with Japan ordered the Government and the Imperial General Staff to put a radio station at his continuous disposal for the communication of his orders to Japan. General MacArthur has relayed President Truman’s statement to Japan and has summoned Japanese representatives to Manila. The Japanese party will leave on Friday for an island near Okinawa, where they will be picked up by an American plane. The Japanese Cabinet has resigned, although the Emperor has asked the Prime Minister (Admiral Suzuki) to carry on. The Minister of War (General Anami) has committed hara-kiri “to atone for his failure to accomplish his dutiesc as the Emperor’s Minister.”
