AWAITING TRIAL AT NUREMBURG
Major War Criminals <7.30 p.m.) LONDON, August 14. Von Papen, von Ribbentrop, Goering, Jodi, Keitel, Ley, Streicher and Rosenberg were flown to Nuremburg on Saturday from the army interrogation centre at Luxembourg. They are ready to face trial as war criminals. Von Lindleiner, allegedly commer.dant of the Stalag Luft 111. near Breslau, where the mass shooting of 50 R.A.F. officers took place, and his number one lieutenant, SS Oberfuhrer Behrens, have been delivered to the London reception camp for war criminals reports the “Daily Express.” Repatriated officers gave the Government the names of the commandant and others responsible for the shooting. Mr Anthony Eden said at the time of the shooting that the foul criminals responsible would be tracked down and brought to exemplary justice.
