ACTION DECLARED ILLEGAL
Chinese Communists (12.10 p.m.) CHUNGKING, Aug. 12. The Ministry of Information spokesman said the order given by the Chinese Communist Commander-in-Chief. General Chu Teh, to the Communist fortes to disarm Japanese and puppet groups and seize their arms Was unauthorised and illegal. He added that the Government would hold the Japanese command strictly accountable for any arms the Japanese or puppets may surrender to any other than officers and men authorised by the Government and to the Russians.
