ROYAL FAMILY RETURNS
Ulster Visit Ended LONDON. July 20. Their Majesties the King and Queen and Her Royal Highness Princess Elizabeth have arrived back at Buckingham Palace from their tour of Northern Ireland, which lasted two d: ys. The Royal Family's journev back from Ulster to London occupied slightly less than three hours. They were met at. Hendon by Air Marshal A. R. Cochrane. Air Officer Commanding the R.A.F. Transport Command. The weather during the flight was not ideal. The royal plane for part of the journey was flying through thick cloud. Three hundred guests, including Lady Montgomery, mother of Field-Marshal Sir Bernard Montgomery, were present at a luncheon to the King and Queen and Princess Elizabeth at the Londonderry Guildhail. Three cheers were given for the King and Queen and a special one for the Princess, who was on her first visit to Londonderry. After lunch the King, Queen and tb.e Princess were taken round the ancient cathedral b ’ the Dean and Bishop of Londonderry. The Royal partv spent an hour and a half al a garden party at Brooke Park, whore they mot. representative men and women of the country, before leaving for Eglington air station, where they boarded a Dakota to return to England.
