LINDBERG BABY KIDNAPPING
Sensational Story Expected Marked Notes In Germany (9.45 p.m.) NEW YORK. July 19. American officers returning from Frankfurt-on-Main say that a sensational story concerning the Lindberg baby kidnapping is expected to break soon, says the “Chicago Times,” which declares that the serial numbers on some United States currency found by Americans in a German salt mine correspond with those of the missing ransom money. Only 13,750 of 15,000 dollars which Colonel Lindberg paid was found at the home of Hauptmann, who was executed several years ago. American officers report that the connection between the two sets of money was at present the talk of Frankfurt.
