COBBERS’ CLUB
Gift Acknowledged A donation of £2O from the J. R. McKenzie Trust Fund and gymnastic equipment from Parr and Co., Taylors Ltd. and John Edmond Ltd. was received with thanks at a meeting of the Timaru Cobber.,' Club last evening. To organise social activities for members, the director (Mr P. Ruston) was authorised to arrange a learners' dancing class. Messrs W. Hair/ey and L. Wynn were thanked for their help and a gift of curtains from T. and J. Thomson was acknowledged as well as wood planes from Mr J. Atkinson. The secretary (Mr R. S. Wheeler) was instructed to write to the Minister of Internal Affairs for the loan of a film projector and a loudspeaker. The Physical Director (Mr J. R. Fraser) reported that the training of junior instructors was nroceedtag satisfactorily. Under the direction of Messrs A. D. Mcßae, E. Ennis and A. Morris the boxing class was makinggood progress.
