Euchre Party A successful euchre party was held under the auspices of the Red Cross Committee, the winners being Mrs Oliver and Mr B. Mulligan. The consolation prizes were won by Mrs A. Macaulay and Mr G. Bennet. Mr Jas. Donehue acted as M.C. for the dance that followed. A Monte Carlo was won by Mrs J. Seyb and partner.

Messrs Jas. Moffit, W. Langrell and B. W. Mulligan. L. Phiskie and F. Johnson, members of th° Junior Discussion Group, left yeste • y to attend a winter school course at Lincoln College.
Basketball
The second of a series of matches between the Baketball Club and the young men of the district resulted in a win for the former by 20 goals to 17. In a fast game the referee, Mrs L. Phiskie, had a strenuous task, though volubly assisted by spectators and player's alike. Afternoon tea was served by the men.
