SALE AT PLEASANT POINT Approximately 800 head of cattle were yarded at the annual sale of station bred cattle at Pleasant Point. The yarding was of good quality and equal to the standard of other years. There was a good representation of buyers from local and outside districts. Competition was keen throughout and almost the entire yarding was disposed of. Values for adult cattle were on a par with last season's fixture, but calves showed a decline of 15 - a head'. Values were as follows. —Prime steers £l7 5. - to £2O; medium. £l2 to £l5; rising 2 year Black Poll and Hereford steers, £9 to £l2; rising 2 year Black Poli and Hereford heifers £7/15 - to £9/17.6; three year old Shorthorn steers £l3/5/-; Hereford cows in calf. £lO/5/-; Black Poll cows in calf £6 to £9/17/6; medium to good Black Poll steer calves £5lO - to £7/s''-; medium to good Black Poll heifer calves £4 15 - to £6/5/-; Hereford steer calves to £6/2/6.
