ST. MARY’S CLUB The annual general meeting of St. Mary’s Tennis Club was held in the Parish Hall, the Ven. Archdeacon H. W. Monaghan presiding over a good attendance of members. The annual report stated that the club had cause for congratulation on the state of the finances. The membership showed an increase of 15 seniors and 23 juniors. Twenty-one members were serving with the Armed Forces and seven were at present overseas. At a social held at the beginning of March the Rev. J. Perkins, J. Rodgers and E. Houston, who had been serving overseas, were welcomed home. All the courts had been top-dressed and the pavilion painted. The committee thanked members and supporters for their help during the year, also the auditor, Mr Oborn. The report and balance-sheet were adopted. The election of officers resulted as follows: —President, the Ven. Archdeason H. W. Monaghan; vice-presi-dents, Messrs S. Andrews, E. Gibson, J. Rodgers, and the Rev. W. W. Robinson; secretary and treasurer, Miss M. Coombs; club captain, Mr E. Gibson; vice-captains, Messrs D. Morgan and M. Ramsay; committee, Messrs O. V.'.tch, B. Green. N. Taylor, J. Little, D. Dewar, D. Oborne; delegate to S.C.L.T.A., Mr D. Morgan; auditor, Mr A. Oborn.
