Welcome Home Social There was a large attendance at the Coronation Hall on Saturday evening when a welcome home social and dance was held in honour of Privates Nelson Palmer, Hugh Bennett and Bert ”’eavers. Music was supplied by Mrs Flanagan. Mr Stan Johnstone supplied an extra. Monte Carlo dances were won by Miss Doreen Reilly and Mr P. Nevin and by Miss Doreen Maxwell and Mr D. Sugrue. Mr A. J. Black, deputychairman of the Patriotic Society extended a welcome to the guests and congratulated them on their work overseas. Each soldier replied and thanked the Patriotic Society for the evening, and also thanked the Basketball Club for the many cakes received while away. Two songs were sung by Mr L. Davies. Mr A. Earl was M.C.
