Lance-Corporal A. Rennie
Killed in action in Italy on November 28. Lance-Corporal Allan James Colin Rennie was the youngest son of Mrs B. Rennie, 6 Bidwill Street, Timaru.
Born at Christchurch on June 15. 1919, Lance-Corporal Rennie received his education at St. Joseph's Convent, Darfield, and the Christchurch Technical College. Upon leaving school
he took Up employment in the North Island. He was an enthusiastic footballer for a number of years. Volunteering in June, 1940. he left New Zealand with the Fourth Reinforcement to the New Zealand Division in the Middle East and served throughout all of the North African campaigns. One of his brothers, Bruce Rennie, is a prisoner of war, and another, Denniston Rennie, is serving in the Middle East.
