Cancellation Of Contracts
(8 p.m.) WASHINGTON, Jan. 11. Senator Truman, chairman of the U.S.A. War Investigating Committee, said the production of some items of war material was so great that Army and Navy contracts totalling 8,000,000,000 dollars had already been cancelled. This was only a beginning. During 1944 almost daily there will be further cancellations and closure of war plants causing a serious unemployment problem.
