Work To Resume To-day

The Hon. J. O’Brien and the Minister of Manpower (the Hon. A. McLagan) with Mr L. Bennie, Undersecretary of Mines, this evening addressed meetings of miners of the Wallsend, Dobson, Strongman and Liverpool State collieries which have been idle for some days. Meetings of the Unions in all cases have agreed to resume work to-morrow, while sending a deputation to Wellington to discuss the matter in dispute with the Government.

The Dobson miners will meet again in the morning and probably will decide to resume. Other miners are doing so without further meetings.
