WOOL GRADING
Stricter This Season
(N.Z.P.A.) AUCKLAND. Jan. 28. “Grading by the appraisers is much stricter this season,” said Mr H. Duke, chairman of the Auckland Woolbrokers’ Association to-day. commenting on complaints regarding recent valuations of clips. “Where clips were not properly skirted in the past they were dealt with more leniently than to-day. Another factor is that the quality of the clip generally is lower this season.” Mr Duke added that as a result of the 15 per cent, increase in the price many woolgrowers were receiving a slightly larger return.
