LIQUOR SOLD WITHOUT LICENCE
Two Men Imprisoned (N.Z.P.A.) AUCKLAND, Jan. 25. A further warning that sly groggers would be sent to gaol unless there were exceptional circumstances was given by Mr J. H. Luxford, S.M., In the Magistrate’s Court to-day, when two men were charged with selling liquor without a licence. On these charges, Pedro eJan Taileul and Richard Kenneth Robinson were each sentenced to one month’s imprisonment. Charged with being the occupier of unlicensed premises on which liquor was sold, a woman, Esme Catherine Nevin, was fined £lO.
