HIGH TREASON
Thirteen Viennese Executed LONDON, January 20. The German newspaper “Voelki.sc her Beobachter” records the execution of 13 Viennese for high treason after a trial by the so-called Peoples’ Courts. Reuter’s correspondent in Europe says that observers connect the executions with street demonstrations in the working-class districts of Vienna after the news of the Allied landings in North Africa.
