Ban On Construction Removed iN.Z.P.A.) INVERCARGILL. Jan. 21. The ban on the issue of building permits for private dwellings has been lifted, according to advice received in Invercargill to-day from the Minister of Public Works, the Hon. R. Semple. The Minister said that he had arranged with the Commissioner of Defence Construction to allocate urgent defence work covering 5.000,000 feet of timber to Southland builders.
