BRITISH OVERSEAS AIRWAYS
Pilots From Dominion (Rec. 6.30> LONDON. Jan. 11. New Zealand pilots assisting British overseas airways which are maintaining vital communications on many routes extending from America to India and from the Arctic to South Africa include Captain W. G. Pudney. who was educated at Wellington College and who has been a pilot since the last war. He has flown in Italy, Canada, India, Africa and surveyed the West Coast of Africa in 1931. He afterwards delivered several aircraft to Africa. They also include Captain H. li. M. Glover, of Dunedin, who. alter serving hi the HA.'K. transfererd to flying-boats with which hr is still engaged, and Captain Tagart of Auckland, who, before the war. served in Britain’s European air services. He had been employed as an instructor in Britain during the war end is now flying on the trans-African route.
