NEW AIR ROUTES
Supplying The Pacific (Rec. 7.46) WASHINGTON, Jan. 7. The passible development of new air routes in the Pacific was discussed at r meeting of the Pacific War Council. Lord Halifax. British Ambassador in Washington, said the authorities were already reviewing additional routes needed to strengthen supply lines. The Hon. W Nash emphasised the great importance of the North African operations to the Pacific, especially the shipping benefits to India, Burma and China, when the Mediterranean was fully opened.
