Distinguished Service Recognised (N.Z.P.A.) WELLINGTON. Jan. 8. Thirteen members of the Royal New Zealand Air Force now serving overseas are listed in the 1943 New Year honours, having been mentioned in dispatches for distinguished services, states official advice received by Air Headquarters, Wellington. Acting Flight Lieutenant Ronald Coney. Father, Mr A. I. Coney, Auckland. Flying Officer Roy Elliot Hanlon. Mother, Mrs M. A. Hanlon, Hamilton. Flying Officer Douglas Lisle Hood Sefton. Father, Mr S. Sefton. Christchurch. Pilot Officer Robert Keith Walker. Wife, Mrs R. K. Walker, of Longbum, Southland. Pilot Officer Ivan Oswald Breckon. Father, Mr A. L. Breckon. Auckland. Pilot Officer Noel Robert Shakespeare Humphreys. Mother. Mrs H. G. Humphreys. Wellington. Sergeant Cyril Francis Patrick Hughes. Father, Mr W. Hughes, Beefton. Also mentioned in the honours were Acting Flight Lieutenant Charles Henry Butt, who was reported killed in a flying accident last year. His father is Mr E. A. Butt, of Hamilton. Pilot Officer Alan Edward Coates, who was reported missing on air operations, was also mentioned. His mother Is Mrs Ej A. M. Coates, Auckland.
