BALLOTED MEN
Posting To National Reserve (P A.) WELLINGTON, Jan. 39. There has been no general instruction to post men over 35 years, drawn in the ballot on Tuesday, January 20, to National Military Reserve units and send those under 35 to Territorial Force units. This was stated at Army Headquarters, Wellington, in reference to an Auckland report that the procedure referred to is being adopted generally. It is stated at Army Headquarters that the matter is one for military districts individually to make their own arrangements for the posting of men to units under their control. It might well be that some districts would adopt the practice, where men were required for national military reserve battalions, of posting to such units men in the order of age categories.
