CHILD KILLED AT LONGBUSH

Driver Falls Out Of Moving Car (P.A.) INVERCARGILL. Jan. 28. An accident in which three children were injured and one child was killed occurred when a single-seater motorcar. driven by Mrs G. I. McStay, of Dacre, capsized early yesterday afternoon about one mile on the Invercargill side of Longbush on the main north road. The accident .occurred when the right-hand side door of the car flew open and Mrs McStay. the driver, was thrown out. The car went out of control and capsized. With her in the car were Mary Caldwell, aged six years, of Edendale. who was killed instantly, Rosena Caldwell, aged 11 years, of Edendale, June McStay, aged seven years, of Dacre, and Keith McStay, aged 18 months, who were injured. Mrs McStay suffered slight injuries only and after the accident she managed to drag Mary Caldwell clear of the wreckage. Rosena Caldwell, who suffered concussion and bruises, and June McStay, who suffered abrasions to the left leg, were admitted to the Southland Hospital at Kew.
