UNIVERSITY SESSION
ADVICE TO INTENDING STUDENTS
(P A ) CHRISTCHURCH, Jan. 28. Boys who have recently left school and have planned to enter the University during the coming session are advised to write immediately to the Registrar of the College which they propose to enter informing him of the following particulars: (1) The subjects they propose to study during the 1942 session; (2) the purpose for which they propose to take these subjects, i.e„ engineering, medicine, dentistry, science, arts, commerce, education, law, etc.; (3) their age and military position so far as is known; (4) whether they propose to become part-time or full-time students. Immediate application should be made in order that the manpower authorities may be consulted and the applicants informed of the result before the opening of the session. Students Who have already been in attendance at a university college and are now in camp will automatically have their cases reviewed by the appropriate authorities. A decision will be made in time to allow those whose courses of study have been approved by the authorities to return temporarily to civil life in order to resume their studies.
