WASTE METALS WANTED “Waste metals are urgently required to assist the war effort, and I am sure tile residents in the county can assist in this direction," said the DeputyMayor (Mr P. H. Davis), chairman of the Geraldine Committee for the Reclamation of Waste Materials, yesterday. It was not possible to make a house to house collection, because of the shortage of petrol, Mr Davis said, but people could leave any metals at the central depot at the borough yard, Failing this, he asked that they arrange with the town clerk (M“ A. L. Cameron) for its collection.
