FOOTBALL INJURY
YOUTH SUCCUMBS (P.A.) BLENHEIM, July 29. Taken, unconscious, from a football field on Saturday, Ashley Patrick Wilson, aged 16, died last night in the Wairau Hospital as a result of cerebral concussion. Wilson, who was a promising athlete, collided with another player to a junior Rugby match. Old Boys v. Opawa. He was a son of Mr Ernest James Wilson, Springlands.
