Loans and Donatioiis
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, May 9. (The following interest-free loans and donations to the War Expenses Fund have been acknowledged by the Hon W. Nash: Anonymous, Napier, a gift of £5O; A. E. Ginn, Wanganui, £lO.OO for the duration; Anonymous, Lower Hutt, £lOOO for the duration and six months; Wellington resident, £5OO for the duration and six months; B. J. Ball (N.Z.), Ltd., Auckland, £5OO monthly contribution; F. C. Hooper, London, £5OO for the duration. In addition to the above-mentioned gifts, donations of Interest totalling approximately £4900 have been received from 850 depositors in the Post Office Savings Bank. The total to date is £2,678,350.
