WASHDYKE CLUB The annual meeting of the Washcyke Miniature Rifle Club was held in the Public Hall. The election of officers resulted as follows:—Patron, Mr D. Kellahan; president Mr W. Parlane; vicepresidents. Messrs L. King, K. Mayo, J. King. D. Anderson, A. Ross, W. Wood, W. King. S. J. Browne. W. Willmott, W. A. Field, R. A. Ramsay, A. Mitchell and D. Kellahan; club captain, Mr P. Applegaith; vice-captain. Mr J. Pearce; secretary and trasurer, Mr D. Hessell; assistant secretary. Mr A. Shaw; handicapper, Mr I. Pearce; target checkers, Messrs J. Beckingsale and P. Applegarth; committee. Messrs J. Prior and W. Jones; delegates. Messrs P. Applegarth and W. Pearce. At the first official shoot of the season. W. Pearce and K. Hunt tied lor the weekly button. E. Falvey won the trophy. The best scores were:—K. Hunt 76. W. Pearce 76, P. Applegarth 75, J. Prior 73. I. Pearce 73. W. Jones 73, E. Falvey 72, J. Beckingsale 72. L. Goodman 71, W. Aitken 67, D. Hessell 63. OTIPUA CLUB The annual meeting and opening shoot of the Otipua Miniature Rifle Club were held in the hall, there being a good attendance of members. The secretary presented the report and balance sheet, which showed the club to be in a good financial position. The following officers were elected:— Patron. Mr A. S. Elworthy; president, Mr N.
