PRODUCE PRICES IN SYDNEY

(Rec. 9.45 p.m.) SYDNEY, May 8. Silo wheat is quoted at 3/114, bagged wheat 4/3* a bushel; bran and pollard at £6; flour at £l2/13/-; Tasmanian potatoes £6/10/-; others at £4/10/-; white onions at £l7 a ton; maize at 4/a bushel.

STUDHOLME SALE

SMALL YARDING There was a much smaller yarding than usual at the Studholme sale. There was a good inquiry for sheep and late rates were fully maintained. A large yarding of cattle met with a disapnointing sale. Values were: Cattle: Fat steers £lO/17/6, fat heifers £6/12/6 to £B/12/6, two year steers £6. Sheep: Fat wethers £1 to £l/2/10 fat lambs £l/0/10, 2-tooth Romney cross ewes, good £l/14/6, 2-tooth Sbred ewes, medium £l/5/6, B.M. Romney cross ewes 16/3, 2-tooth wethers 12/- to 14/6 S-bred 6we lambs 10/3 to 13/3. J-bred ewe lambs, medium to small 7/- to 8/-, crossbred wether lambs 8/3.

DIVIDENDS DECLARED

: WELLINGTON, May 8. The Kaitangata Coal Companv Ims declared a dividend of 2/6 a share for the year ended February, payable on May 15. The directors of Australian Consolidated Industries recommend for tlm half-year ended March 31 dividends as follows: 4J per cent on preference shares, making 9 per cent for the yearns per cent on fully paid ordinary shares, making 8 per cent for the ’ ar 44 per cent on the amount of 12/- a share paid on September 13 on contributing ordinary shares in accordance with the terms of issue The dividends are payable on June 2 The Martha Mine directors ‘ are recommending a final dividend of 9d a share, free of income tax, payable on May 30. wwue on
