TRADE MISSION

Hon. F. Langstone To Visit America (P.A.) WELLINGTON, May 7. The Government has decided to send the Minister of Lands (the Hon. F. Langstone) to the United States for the purpose of initiating and promoting trade negotiations, particularly in the sale of dairy produce, meat and other primary products, according to an announcement made by the Hon. W. Nash to-day. Mr Langstone, who will leave at an early date, will be accompanied by officers of the Customs, Supply and Marketing Departments. He will also make preliminary arrangements for the establishment of a New Zealand legation in Washington. The Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates has also been requested bv the Government and War Cabinet, continued Mr Nash, to visit the United states to organise and expedite the arrangements for the supply of munitions necessary to the defence of the Dominion.
