WINCHESTER
VICTORIA HALL DANCE There was a very large attendance at the weekly dance arranged by the hall committee. Extras were played by Miss E. Trumper. Miss M. Bradshaw and partner won the Monte Carlo. Messrs ,W. J. Jackson and W. Waple were masters of ceremonies. GIRL GUIDES On Saturday afternoon the Winchester Girl Guides held a sports meeting in the Domain. In spite of the cold wind, there was a good attendance, which included several members of the Temuka Girl Guides. Acting-Captain L. Worthington and Acting-Lieutenant Molly Barker made all the arrangements. The following were in charge:—Sports, ActingCaptain and Lieutenant, Messrs J. L. Stone-Wigg and B. Trumper; afternoon tea, the lady members; ice cream and sweets, Mrs J. L. Greenall; chocolate wheel, Mr P. Surridge. During the afternoon Miss M. Barker presented second class badges to Betty Trumper, Joyce Trumper, Winnie McClelland, Margaret Barnett, Valarie Greenall.
