Racing At Auckland Crowd In Betting Mood By Telegraph—Press Association AUCKLAND, November 25. Tire Auckland Racing Club’s midspring meeting was concluded in brilliant weather. The attendance was 16,500, against 7000 last year, and the totalisator for the day put through £72,270/10/-, against £37,382, an increase of £34,888/10/-. For the meeting the investments were £124,300/10/-, against £92,087/10/-, an increase of £32,213. Interference with Calula Boy in the Takapuna Plate on the first day was found by the stewards to be the fault of the horse’s own jockey, G. Gilchrist, and no action was taken.
