SYRUP LOAF ❖ * 4* Half pound flour, one tea--4> spoon cream of tartar, half tea- X T spoon soda, one tablespoon sugar, X one tablespoon of golden syrup, 44> one dessertspoon butter, three 4> 4- quarters of a cup. a little grated * J 1 nutmeg and salt. Rub butter X T into sifted flour, soda and cream 4- of tartar, and add sugar. Dis- 44- solve syrup in milk with nutmeg x and add. Mix into a slack dough X X and bake for 45 minutes in a X good oven. 4>
