ATHLETICS
EVENING MEETING This evening at Ashbury Park the officials of the South Canterbury Amateur Athletic Club will assist at a sports meeting arranged for competition amongst members of the Boys’ Brigade. The sports will commence at 6 o’clock. Three events have been arranged for Athletic • Club members, women’s 100 yards handicap, men’s 220 yards and mile handicap. Next Saturday the first inter-club sports meeting arranged by the South Canterbury Sub-Centre will be held at Temuka. The following handicap events have been arranged: Women, 75 yards, high jump, 100 yards, long jump, 80 metre hurdles, relay 4 x 110 yards (if four or more entries); men, 100 yards, 220 yards, 440 yards, 880 yards, 1 mile, shot, javelin, high jump, long jump, 123 yards hurdles (if four or more entries).
