DROWNED IN SURF
FATALITY AT HOKITIKA By Telegraph—Press Association HOKITIKA, November 24. James Campbell, single, aged 18, was drowned while surfing on the Hokitika beach this afternoon. His parents live at Hokitika. Campbell was rescued within a few minutes, but efforts at resuscitation proved unavailing. . He was removed to the Westland Hospital and placed in the “iron lung” respirator, but this treatment also was unsuccessful.
