British Pledge To Nazi Victims British Official Wireless RUGBY, November 22. A Europe reduced to near famine by Nazi exploitation will be one of the most pressing problems when the subject neonle are liberated from Hitler’s yoke at the end of the war. Mr Churchill made it clear some time ago that the British Government is not allowing its urgent preoccupations in organising victory to prevent a proper study being given tn advance to this question. With the object of building up a reserve of food, an organisation has been set up by the Government to study the problem under Sir Frederick LeH-’- Ross. Director-General of the Ministry of Economic Warfare. The organisation will work in cooperation wfib the Board of Trade, the Dominions Office, the Colonial Office, and the Ministry of Food. The committee’s work will be under the general directv— of Mr Arthur Greenwood. Minister without portfolio, and the Minister of Economic Warfare (Dr. Dalton). It is expected in London that in giving practical application to the humanitarian alm of assuring the victims of aggression food as well as freedom the British Government will enjoy the sympathetic collaboration of the United States and other New World countries.
