Imprisonment For Indian Mr Brijlal Biyani, a member of the Central Provinces Upper House, who is included in Mr Gandhi’s list of those who will assist him in his campaign of civil disobedience, has been sentenced to a year’s rigorous imprisonment. Italian Police Chief Dead The death of Senator Bucchini (Chief of the Italian Police) is officially announced. Death was due to aneurism. A State funeral is being arranged. Gift of Tank Sir John Lavington Bontython, chairman of the “Adelaide Advertiser,” has given to the army £25,000 for the purchase of the latest model fighting tank.
