HOME GUARD A large and enthusiastic meeting was held in the Cave Hall, when residents met to hear the purposes of the Home Guard explained by the Area Commander (Lieut. D. Barnes). Mr W. Scott, chairman of the Mackenzie County Council, was also present. Numerous questions were asked, and a full discussion took place. Mr G. G. Rich wa elected locality commander. The first parade will be held on November 30 at 7 p.m. at Mr Rich’s woolshed. Mr Stevens, of Ma Waro, is to assist Mr Rich.
