WEDDING

BULLEID—HOLE Cream roses and arum lilies decorated the altar of St. Mary’s Church yesterday morning for the marriage of Brenda, younger daughtei’ of the late Mr W. B. Hole and of Mrs M. J. Hole. Te Weka Street, and John, eldest son of Mr and Mrs J. M. Bulleid, Oarnaru. The Ven. Archdeacon H. W. Monaghan performed the ceremony and Mr A. W. Vine was at the organ. Miss Ngaio Blaikie, Sealy Street, was the only bridesmaid and Mr H. Stevenson, Oamaru, acted as best man. The bride, who entered the church with her brother, Mr J. B. Hole, wore the frock which had been previously worn by her sister on her wedding day. Made of cream satin it was cut on slim fitting lines. Her veil of tulle was held in place by a head-dress of orange blossom and she carried a bouquet of cream rosebuds and lily of the valley. Miss Blaikie's frock of white and gold satin was worn with a head-dress of banksia roses and orange blossom. She carried a bouquet of rosebuds and banksia roses. A reception was held at the bride’s home in Te Weka Street, where the guests were received by Mrs Hole. The rooms were decorated with bowls of roses. For travelling the bride wore a navy blue georgette frock and a navy Leghorn straw hat.
