SERIOUS DROUGHT
Conditions Worse In Australia United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyrtgh t (Received November 20, 1.20 a.m.) SYDNEY, November 19. Drought conditions are gradually becoming worse and in many parts of New South Wales and Queensland the outlook is comparable to the devastating drought of 1902. Official reports disclose that woolgrowers are seriously concerned about the summer because the water supplies are failing and the flocks have to be hand fed at considerable cost. Lamb losses in some areas have been very heavy but deaths among grown sheep so far are light. The wheat crop throughout Australia is considerably less than half of last year’s.
