NIGHT RAIDERS
British Experts Seeking Counter United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, November 18. British air experts are still probing into the problem of dealing with the night bombers. One aviation expert stated that several methods were under consideration. Anti-aircraft guns are turning back an increasing number of raiders before they reach their targets, and German prisoners of war are paying tribute to their accuracy The “rabbits” among the German pilots turn back and drop their bombs haphazardly when antiaircraft batteries open fire. Air Marshal Sir Philip Joubert said to-day: “Only this morning I had encouraging news about our countermeasures against night raiders. I cannot tell you anything. You must accept my word for it.”
