SOLDIER INJURED

Struck On Head By Tablet Exchange By Telegraph—Press Association HASTINGS, November 19. ' Struck on the head by a tablet exchange when he leaned from the window of a leave train from Trentham entering the Otane station to-day, a soldier of NO. 1 Training Battalion suffered painful injuries. He is Private E. C. Wilkinson, and his home is believed to be in Gisborne. Dr. T. S. Norris attended the injured man and ordered his removal to the Waipukurau Hospital where a report was issued that his condition did not appear to be serious. The train was delayed half an hour as a result of the accident.
