DEATH OF TOM MIX
United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Rec. October 13, 9.30 p.m.) FLORENCE (Arizona), Oct. 12 Tom Mix, the famous Western film star was killed in an automobile accident. Apparently he lost control of the car which overturned, pinning him under the wreckage. Mix, whose fame was shared by his horse Tony, played in some 700 films, making in 25 years a fortune estimated at 6,000,000 dollars. He was 61 years of age.
