Home Guard Run Over By Train By Telegraph—Press Association PALMERSTON NORTH, October 13. Edward George Wood, aged 52, employed by the Defence Department as a Home Guard, was found shortly before noon to-day near the Linton railway station horribly mutilated as a result of being run over by a train. Wood, who was a resident of Shannon, leaves a wife and two daughters.
