SCHOOL AMBULANCE FUND The children of the Kingsdown School have every reason to be proud of the results of their individual and collective efforts to raise funds for the Canterbury and Westland School Children's Ambulance Fund. Their quota was 30/-, but they succeeded in raising over £l4. In most cases the children made sacrifices in order that such a fine result might be achieved. WATER SHORTAGE Many farmers are experiencing an acute water shortage owing to the prolonged spell of dry weather. In some cases underground wells are dry, and water for domestic purposes has to be carried some distance. The Downlands supply when available will be fully appreciated in this district.
